The following documentation covers the basic use of the ResellerBackup tool.

Installation
Once you receive your copy of ResellerBackup tool you will need to unzip it and the file will be an .exe file. Place this file in a folder where you want it to run from.

Running ResellerBackup
After you have unzipped the file you will need to double click on the icon for the ResellerBackup tool to start. Note you can keep the tool running in your system tray by minimizing it.

Configure ResellerBackup File Backup Tool
Once you have started ResellerBackup you can set the following features:

  • Name - Create a Unique Name for each backup
  • Host - enter the ftp path to your files this can be a domain or IP
  • Login - enter the FTP username
  • Password - enter the FTP password
  • Passive - check this if you find that  your ftp transfers are being disconnected
  • Start at - choose which hour the backup will begin
  • Update every - choose the frequency of your backup
  • Save to - enter the path where you want to save the files
  • Download now lets you download the site

To Create a Connection in File Backup Tool

  1. Click on Add
  2. Enter the Name of the Connection (this should be a user-friendly name)
  3. Enter the Host information (i.e., ftp.resellerbackup.com)
  4. Enter the FTP Login Name
  5. Enter the FTP Login Password
  6. Set passive mode on
  7. Set your Schedule
  8. Click on Save Connection

Note: if you have not set your Save To destination click on Browse and set where your backups will be saved to.

Configure ResellerBackup MySQL Backup Tool
Once you have started ResellerBackup you can set the following features:

  • Name - Create a Unique Name for each backup
  • Host - enter the path to your database this can be a domain or IP
  • Login - enter the database username
  • Password - enter the database password
  • Database - enter the name of the database to be backed up
  • Start at - choose which hour the backup will begin
  • Update every - choose the frequency of your backup
  • Save to - enter the path where you want to save the files
  • Download now lets you download the site

To Create a Connection in MySQL Backup Tool

  1. Click on Add
  2. Enter the Name of the Connection (this should be a user-friendly name)
  3. Enter the Host information (i.e., resellerbackup.com)
  4. Enter the Database Login Name
  5. Enter the Database Login Password
  6. Enter the Databas NameSet your Schedule
  7. Click on Save Connection

Note: if you have not set your Save To destination click on Browse and set where your backups will be saved to.

Once you have started ResellerBackup you can set the following features:

To Create a Connection in Site Copy Tool

  1. Click on Add
  2. Enter the Name of the Connection (this should be a user-friendly name)
  3. Enter the Host information to download from (i.e., ftp.resellerbackup.com)
  4. Enter the FTP Login Name to download from
  5. Enter the FTP Login Password to download from
  6. Set passive mode on
  7. Enter the Host information to upload to (i.e., ftp.resellerbackup.com)
  8. Enter the FTP Login Name to upload to
  9. Enter the FTP Login Password to upload to
  10. Set passive mode on
  11. Set your Schedule
  12. Click on Save Connection

To Remove a Connection in File and MySQL Backup Tool

  1. Select the connection name from the list
  2. Click on the Remove button
